Edward Croman is the founder and owner of Croman Development. Ed is recognized in West Orange, New Jersey and far beyond for his business acumen, and philanthropy. He is known widely for his study and teaching of Kabbalah. He teaches a popular class on the subject of Kabbalah.
Ed Croman’s Education
Edward Croman attended Harvard College and the Harvard Business School where he received his MBA in 1964. He wrote his Masters thesis on “Retail Store Location: A study of the changes in the trading area of a Stop & Shop and how it changed over a 25 year period.”
In 1995, Ed established The Frank and Harriet Croman Memorial Judaica Book Fund at Harvard College Library. The fund was established in memory of his parents — Frank and Harriet Croman. It is a permanent fund to acquire Judaica publications.
Making the transition from academia to the business world, Edward established Croman Development in 1968. The company has built and maintained shopping centers in Northern and Central New Jersey. The company offices are in West Orange, New Jersey. Currently, Edward’s company manages shopping centers in Neptune City, Hackensack and Gillette.
Professional Association
Edward Croman is a long-time member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers. He regularly attends the East Coast meeting of the association to stay in touch will colleagues and learn about new trends in the industry.
